mp3 vs cd audio

surinder stated his preference for mp3s... his logic: you can have 150 songs on an mp3 cd
as compared to only 12 on an audio cd.

makes sense... also, an audio cd will cost you atleast 350/- while you can burn around 18 songs
on a cd costing 11/-

but in my experience, audio quality in an audio cd is far superior than from mp3z.
have burned a number of audio cds from mp3s and have always felt the loss in sound quality.
i mean how can a 50mb file be cut down to 5mb and still sound the same!
