finally yesterday i got some time to go downtown.
and i had the "darshan"... yeah arjun i finally had the "darshan"
not one but three police harley's standing side by side...
and if thats not enough, close up was this hummer h2!
what else could ya ask for... a camera!

denver
phew!
just finished a server installation. now need to work on the demo for the summit.
so i got into denver on monday 17th may and have been working ever since. waiting for the weekend desparately to do some sight-seeing. maybe go to the rocky mountain park.

just got back from a meeting with the bullet club in chandi.
enjoyed the ride... chandi gets pretty cool in the evenings and makes for an enjoyable place to ride in.
specially coz 80% of the city is sleeping and the roads are empty.
the roar of the beast loud and clear... what more could you ask for.

mp3 vs cd audio
surinder stated his preference for mp3s... his logic: you can have 150 songs on an mp3 cd
as compared to only 12 on an audio cd.
makes sense... also, an audio cd will cost you atleast 350/- while you can burn around 18 songs
on a cd costing 11/-
but in my experience, audio quality in an audio cd is far superior than from mp3z.
have burned a number of audio cds from mp3s and have always felt the loss in sound quality.
i mean how can a 50mb file be cut down to 5mb and still sound the same!

music mania
have been getting these pangs for music lately.
lately every sunday evening when i leave for chandi, i stop at the music world express store opposite
arjun's home and pick up something.
yesterday i picked up sheryl crow's greatest hits and nusrat fateh ali khan's, night song.
surinder would get angry and say "we already have mp3z for all these, why do you go around throwing money".
arjun would agree if i say that the original cd has its own feel to it.
well whatever... i have already spent the money and the cds are mine :o)

my neighbour - 3
the time is 11pm... it's pitch dark... an insistent drizzle hangs around.
has been raining all evening... it's cold and everyone's cozy and snugg in their homes.
so i'm leaving for delhi. slowly silently climbing down the stairs, trying not to disturb "anyone".
all is quiet... i reach my car, throw in the luggage... am walking towards the driver door...
my hand reaches for the door handle... "success success" is all thats going through my head.
thats when i hear the "loud voice booming through my head"
haanji... dilli challe o?
cable di taar kadd jayo.
aaaaaaaargh !!!!
accept it devinder, accept it.
hmmm... but i need to know why... yeah why?
me: tusin ki karni hai cable di taar... tuhaada connection wi hai na?
he: haanji... o gall e hai... ki tuhada connection zaada clear hai.
me: phir tusin aapna theek karwaa lo?
he: haan boleya hai, per cable waala ayunda hi nahin.
thats when my better senses give in...
my better senses: give it yaar... after all its just a stupid wire for god's sake.
me: theek hai... le lo... per appna cable cheti theek karao.
he: haan main phone karoonga cable waale nu.
me: ok ji.
